Black Friday Book Sale!

Smiley
Hello, and Happy day after Thanksgiving! Today I am helping out with the Black Friday Book sale.

One thing I am thankful for are great books.  Here are some worthwhile books, that I read in 2015.
  1. Ashburn, by Julia Erickson: Christian, secret agents... !
  2. Resistance, by Jaye L. Knight: Christian non- magical fantasy that is so good!
  3. The Remedy, by Serena Chase: More fascinating Christian fantasy with fairytale accents!
  4. Cinderella's Dress, by Shonna Slayton: A fun story set in the WW2 times, involving Cinderella's dresses!
  5. A Dream Not Imagined, by Shantelle Hannu: A sweet Cinderella retelling with an important lesson!
I'm sure this coming year will be filled with more wonderful books for me! :) Speaking of more reading, here's one more thing to be grateful for. Books on sale! In honor of Thanksgiving and Black Friday, a group of independent Christian authors banded together to offer over seventy discounted books on Nov 27-30. There's literally something for everyone. Photo Gallery: Family Pictures

Hi! I'm finally getting around to posting these. (The family's pictures I took). :)

I was pleased with how they turned out. Supposedly you're should avoid doing photo shoots on overcast days... I, for one, kind of like it. Especially with some of these vibrant colors. :)

I like how the dad and little boy at the end are both putting their hand in their pocket :)

Okay, so some upcoming posts I should have... some more pictures (lake, caves), maybe a food post... and I'm going to be promoting a black Friday book sale on this coming Friday. So if you like books, be sure to come by here Friday. :)

And in case I don't post before or on Thanksgiving, have a happy one!

Photo Gallery: Bluebirds, Beetles, and Airplanes

Hello, I am finally back on here. :)

I did the photo session I mentioned at the end of this post, last Saturday. So kind of my first real "business" photo session was family pictures. That's probably not where most new photographers start... but it went quite well, and I'm pleased. :))
(I'm not putting any of these pictures on here unless I get permission, by the way.)

So here we have yesterday and another day's photos. :)

Bluebirds. <3 I love cute birds.

Yesterday I saw this airplane, and got a picture at the perfect time when these birds flew through. :) I think it's really cool... especially because of the style of this plane.

View from far above the treetops. :)

I got to photograph this assassin beetle, which some of my younger siblings think are pretty cool. :D I think one of them actually caught this one.

Latest "Gallery" and Action Photography Practice

Hi, I'm back with another post! :) Welcome to November. This month has one of my favorite holidays- Thanksgiving!
Yea. The fall season goes on. The leaves fell so fast! I still haven't done my first real, real photo session. Hopefully there will still be some pretty trees when I do it.
Of course, we have the latest Photo Gallery of random pretty recent pictures:
This one is older, which is why there are so many golden leaves left on the tree. ;)

I think these top ones are a good definition of fall. A puddle on the brick steps and some autumn leaves scattered about... :)

This is quite a beautiful sunset. I zoomed way in, so the color is probably more enhanced than it would look seeing it in person, from farther back.
  But isn't God a magnificent sky-painter? :) This one's like a fire sunset.

These ones are with the silhouette of a new house being built along our little lane.

And now here are the action photos! :) I was excited to kind of learn how to get better action pictures. My brother showed me how to adjust the shutter speed, (though I'm still kind of confused over some of it), and I think its helping with clearer action shots! :) Which is what fast shutter speed dose, of course.
So here are a couple pictures. :)

Well, I hope you enjoyed this latest post. :)

If anyone has tips on action pictures, please comment! :)
