that alone place \\ thoughts

sometimes i just want to go somewhere wild and free.
a high or secluded, quiet place where the wind blows, where the only sound is the rustle of leaves on the trees, and the call of a bird overhead.
where there isn't another soul in sight, and i can just breath and feel.
a rugged rock i can sit on, a deep canyon below, covered in a canopy of forest.
a blue sky with wispy white clouds. the fresh breeze tangling and fingering through my hair, brushing past my closed eyes.
just a special place where it's just me and God and nature, where my heart can be filled, where my lungs can breathe deep, where tears can fall free.

there i think i could unfill and be filled.
refresh, and get away from the world and all the man-made things and just listen to the comforting sounds and sights and feels of God's things.

a place to ponder, wonder, and ask.

{p.s. this song is beautiful}

October Scenes at My House \\ VIDEO \\

HEY, guess what? I finally made another video. Remember my first one, way back in May (first besides those baking videos)? I just finally decided to go out and film another one the other day. I know my camera doesn't have the best quality videoing, but I think it's a fun little video anyway. Just some of the scenes around our property. ^__^

Also, I'm socially awkward, AND video awkward. Lol. xP I sound kind of annoyed at one part... just my video-awkwardness I guess. I tried videoing that beginning part over more than once, and this is the one I went with. :P

It's pretty short and unprofessional (obviously), but I hope you enjoy it!

WHAT DO YOU THINK? ANY CERTAIN VIDEO\ TYPE OF VIDEO YOU'DE BE INTERESTED IN ME DOING?

RAINY AUTUMN PHOTO SHOOT \\ red and denim outfit + Thoughts on Seasons

Hey people! A happy, happy weekend to you all! *big smile*

What is your favorite season? spring, summer, fall, or winter? If you've been around here long enough, you probably know that, though I'm asking YOU this question, I probably couldn't answer it myself. Because I'm bad with favorites. And you'd be right xP
But I think that's okay. I like all the seasons. I think I'm usually ready for the next season when it comes. Each one is special. Every one has it's own unique and beautiful characteristics. Lends to you it's own special feeling.
Seasons keep life exciting! Y'ALL. I would never want it to be one season all year long. Like, how boring. Do you agree? Or could you happily live in one season forever? Let me know in the comments. *winks*

Where I live, fall is definitely here. Last Sunday it was kinda wet, and definitely overcast. My sister agreed to take some pictures of me in my church outfit (and I edited them).  I loved the slightly foggy, cloudy setting! Made for the perfect fall photo shoot. And my sister did good... I think maybe she should be my assistant when I start my photography business. ;P

that shirt. i found it at Goodwill rrecently. <3

WOULD YOU WEAR THIS OUTFIT? THOUGHTS ON SEASONS? SUNNY FALL DAYS, OR CLOUDY? (i like both xP *sorry not sorry*)

Climbing the Rock \\ Out West

Time for the fourth photography post from my summer trip to the West Coast! After visiting the waterfall, fish hatchery, and dam, my mom, siblings, and I took a hike up Beacon Rock. The view was amazing. ^___^

FAVORITE PICTURE? EVER CLIMBED A GIANT ROCK?

By the Book Tag

I needed a post to do, 'cause it's Tuesday night. So I decided to FINALLY finish this tag that Shantelle tagged me for back in, *gasp*, May. *sheepish look* Well. Better late than never!

QUESTIONS:

What is on your nightstand right now?

More Than Meets the Eye by Karen Whitmeyer.

What was the last truly great book you read?

I don't know. I guess I'll go with The Lady and Lionheart by Joanne Bischof or A Time to Die by Nadine Brandes. But there's probably been some really good ones since then too... whatever.

If you could meet any writer - dead or alive - who would it be and what would you want to know?

Maybe Lois Gladys Leppard, and I'd ask her how the rest of Mandy's life was supposed to unfold. :)
Or Jaye L. Knight.

What books might we be surprised to find on your shelves?

Myths Every Child Should Know. Lol. I bought it because it was an old book.

How do you organize your personal library?

Bigger books generally on the top shelf, smaller books and non-fiction on the bottom... along with my movies. ;)

What book have you always meant to read but haven't gotten around to it yet?

Idk... there's tons of books I could read. TONNNSSS.

Anything you feel embarrassed never to have read?

Not really... except maybe that I haven't read the entire Bible yet (not even close). Not so much embarrassed as, "Wow, I should've read more by now!"

Disappointing, overrated, just not good: What book did you feel you were suppose to like but didn't?

*shrugs*

Do you remember the last book you put down without finishing?

Um, yes. I had to put down Until Tomorrow by Robin Jones Gunn for now, because I got a review book. I will be finishing it though! That was a while ago... *whispers* and the review book hasn't been reviewed yet. Don't tell. xP This just hasn't been a very productive "reading year".

What kind of stories are you drawn to? Any you stay clear of?

Uhhh... exciting and intriguing stories, with realistic but adorable romance... more often historical or fantasy than contemporary, probably.
I don't read most non-Christian YA, though some are probably fine. Books with weird sorcery-type magic. Anything inappropriate or super creepy\scary. Anything boring. xP The obvious stuff, okay?

If you could require the president to read on book, what would it be?

The Bible, of course. I think most people say this. :)

What do you plan to read next?

Maybe I'll grab Until Tomorrow from the library again and finish it. *smiles*

Those of you who would like to do this... YOU ARE TAGGED!

WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY READING?

Waterfall, Fish Hatchery, and Dam Out West \\ PHOTOS + new stuff in life

Happy Saturday to you allll! I hope you are having a great weekend, enjoying the full comforts of your pillow and not having to set an alarm. ;P Yep. So I recently got a job, and getting up in the morning is the hardest part (it's a great job, see). A job, guyssss. Finally finally finally. No more having to tell people I don't have an official job yet. That is a nice thing, y'all. ;P I'm happy. The little introvert me managed. Actually, I didn't do all that much. I applied there awhile ago, and one day they called. And the day I went in for my interview (I didn't even really get interviewed), they hired me. I was freaking out on the way home. With excitement. xD
I think it was just God or something. *smiles*

SOO. After that little update on the biggest new change in my life, I'm going to actually get to the feature presentation of this post. What the title says this post is supposed to be about. *winks and sticks out tongue*

Oh, and I guess you all might be curious where I'm working... which is at the YMCA, in child care. :) I just completed my first week, so hopefully they keep me for a long time. :P

OKAY, AS I WAS SAYING. This is the next picture post about my recent trip out West. My whole immediate family (besides my dad, bc he wasn't out there yet) went out "exploring" one day. We went to Multnomah Falls, a fish hatchery, and a dam. Also climbed a huge rock, but I'm saving those pictures for their own post. *winks*

We ate lunch and hung out by the creek for a while before going to look at the falls.

Beautiful

We climbed as far as the bridge, but, unfortunately, couldn't go all the way to the top. The rest was closed off because of the fires, I guess.

All the coins. I wonder what I could buy if I went down and collected it all? xP

Fish hatchery and huge sturgeon!

The dam.

So that's that! Hope you enjoyed the photos!

FAVORITE PICTURE? WATERFALLS YOU'VE VISITED?

p.s. have you seen For King and Country's new song, "Burn the Ships"??? <33
