Thrift Store Haul \\ VIDEO

Hey guys, happy Saturday to you! I am back. Without my March photo dump... I don't know if that's coming or not. xP I mean, I kinda want to do it?

HOWEVER, I recently recorded and created a video for you guys showing the things I bought while thrift shopping last Saturday! I know, the title already tells you what this is about, but... never mind.
So yes, three of my sisters and I had a nice shopping day at the best stores you can shop at. You know, Goodwill, the Salvation Army thrift store, and such. *winks* Oh, and when I say the Salvation Army thrift store we went to is so nice in the video, I mean they have a lot of good stuff there. :)

Anyhow, here you go!

...and the loud buzzing in the background is, I believe, the bathroom fan. I wanted it on because there were people in the house, and I didn't want them to hear me. xP The fan was a bad move though. Lol.

I actually recorded this video twice. And then melded the best (hopefully) of both together into one video. Though I'm still not 100% comfortable and un-awkward in front of the camera, I really enjoy doing these videos! :)

I hope you enjoyed it as well!

Black and White Dress\\ Classy Vintage Style

Happy Tuesday to you all! How did the week start off for you? It's been good for me so far. I went to the chiropractor today {I guess I have scoliosis or something} and also bought a dress which I think will be the final choice for my uncle's wedding. :) My mom said she'd pay for half of it, so yay. I only have to pay $10. *winks* Every now and then I actually buy something at a normal store, like TJMaxx. :P

Anyhow, I decided to show you another of the good-deal dresses I found recently. This is not the one I bought today. This is a good old thrift-store dress!

{Yeah, my face looks kinda wierd ;P}

OUTFIT DETAILS:

Dress: $4 at Salvation Army

Shoes: somewhere around $5 {probably...} at Goodwill. I think my mom bought them for me once.

Necklace: I think it was something I got from my aunt for free way back.

Earings: Christmas gift

My "little" sister did a pretty good job with the pictures again... I had fun too. xP Weekly fashion shoots might become a thing around here. Lol. Not really, though I do have some more things I want to show y'all. :)

One of the things I like about this dress is that you don't have to wear a tank-top underneath it. *winks* It is on the shorter side, however, so definitely wear shorts under any dress like this. It would be nice if it was like, two inches longer. xP

Hope you enjoyed!

LIKE THIS DRESS OR THE LAST ONE BETTER?

Navy Embroider Dress\\ Outfit

We went shopping on Saturday. *cheers because I love buying things*

The outfit I wore on Sunday features my $3 Goodwill dress find: A navy blue dress with embroidered edges. I found it on the rack where people put the things they tried on but didn't want (check those!), and it ended up being the one thing I bought from Goodwill. It was half-off day, so yay for spending only three bucks. *winks*

OUTFIT DETAILS:

dress: $3 from Goodwill
sandals: $1 from garage sale
earrings: Christmas gift

A $4 outfit, guys! *winks* (I didn't actually wear the hair clip to church, but if we include that... hair clip: given to me xP)

My sister took these pictures of me... some of them turned out pretty nice. ;)

I found some things at the Salvation Army too, so maybe I'll give y'all some more outfits soon! What do you think?

WOULD YOU WEAR SOMETHING LIKE THIS? WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TYPE OF DRESS?

50's Dress for a Dollar \\ Strawberries

One Saturday {a week ago, actually} we went on a family outing to some garage sales. Fun stuff, of course. ;) I found some things to buy, including a black purse, clothes, and a movie. However, the coolest thing I bought was at a senior center, where there were twenty sales- I think- in one big room. My sister showed me these two authentic-looking vintage dresses. 50's dresses. My interest was quite peaked of course, because I always like vintage things! So I asked the person selling them how much they were.

SHE SAID TWO DOLLARS FOR BOTH!

I did not expect them to be that cheap, even at a garage sale! We bought them, obviously. Who could pass up a vintage dress for a dollar? Not me! xP

Definitely one of the perks of thrift\garage saling: you just never know what you may find, and for what price!

Eek, isn't it cute?

Here we are, dressed up vintage with our one dollar dresses. *grins* We just need to learn to do 50's hair and makeup. At least we have red lipstick. *winks*

I also have a few strawberry pictutes to finish off this post with. One morning recently we went to an Amish farm to pick some strawberries. I thought they made fun pictures next to our cowboy boots. *winks*

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE RETRO DRESS? FAVE STRAWBERRY PICTURE?

Thrift Shop & Garage Sale Buys + Summer Outfit

Happy Saturday to everyone! What did you do today? Go to garage sales? Clean the house? Sip lemonade one your front porch while reading a good book?

I got up a little before six this morning. *gives this night owl a thumbs up* Because we did a garage sale with a couple of our aunts at one of their houses. So that was fun! I made a little money... also bought a couple things at the other garage sales in the neighborhood. *winks* Oh, I bought some bakery from my younger cousins as well. So yeah. It was a fun day, as well as very hot! It didn't really seem humid though, so that makes it w.a.y. better.

LAST Saturday was also nice. My siblings and I went thrift shopping and such, so it was obviously fun. ;P

That's what this post is about! My lovely deals, if you care about them. xD Oh, and a summer outfit. 'Cause summer is almost here.

Onward!

This is the outfit I wore last Sunday, using two of my Goodwill buys: the shirt and skirt. This skirt is just cuteness. <3 And at this particular Goodwill store, your get everything half off on the first Saturday of the month.

I also got this elegant black skirt from Goodwill. I wish the "underskirt" was longer though. TELL ME WHY EVERYTHING HAS TO BE SO SHORT THESE DAYS!

So we decided to go to a Salvation Army thrift store... and GUYS, you may not expect it to be a great store, but it was. *winks* The shirts were $2! Just look at my awesome "workout" shirt. xD

EEEEEEKKK! THISS. SHIRT. My sister found it, and I love. <3

I also found books! I'm pretty sure they were fifty cents each. I forgot about one of the books I bought {Boy Meets Girl by Joshua Harris} so no pic for that one.

And I found How to Train Your Dragon 2 at Goodwill, so... I bought it of course. Payed a dollar. *all the thrift store love*

At the garage sales today, I found sandals for a dollar!

And this pretty seahorse necklace, also a dollar. ^___^

So those are my recent thrifty buys, guys! *grins* I hope you enjoyed this!

WHAT DID YOU DO TODAY? HAD ANY THRIFTY BUYS LATELY? WHAT'S THE BEST THING I BOUGHT?

p.s. Though I have just a little more school to finish up, I am officially graduated, as of last night!! Eeek

Garage Sale Haul

Yesterday morning found my mom, sister and I up at 5 something in the morning to garage sale with some friends of ours. That was early, but more so by the fact that I'd only gotten five or six hours of sleep. ;P

So maybe I shouldn't exactly call this a haul, as I probably didn't buy as much as last time. Remember? In October me and my mom went garage-saling on the military base, and I got my record player for $10? Yesterday we went to what must be the spring base garage sales. *grins* And yes, I got another good deal. The photographers here may be interested. *winks*

OK, so the things I found...

This little Eiffel Tower key chain! OBVIOUSLY I had to get it. *winks* It was probably like... 25 or 50 cents. Can't you imagine it hanging from the keys of my future little mazda car or my teal 70's pickup? ;D Okay, okay, just dreams. ;P

Yes, spray paint. ;P Just 25 cents too.

I'm collecting the Mandie series, so I picked this up for 25 cents. It was actually at a church garage sale and not the base one.

Here are the clothes I got! A pretty red tank-top- which I'm happy about, 'cause I want more red shirts. ;) A darker reddish shirt, a skirt (to wear with leggings, don't worry ;P), and some high-waisted skinny jeans! The jeans still had tags on them, and they were $2! I'm excited about those. *winks* My mom actually paid for a dollar of them, which is always nice. ;) She bought some other clothes that I might use too, so yea.

The greatest deal of the day, though, was this totally awesome tri-pod! *photographer squeals* My mom's is broken so I haven't been able to use a tri-pod for awhile. And this one was $5

Just look at it! It looks like such a nice one. *grins*

The top can extend up so high, which is really nice!

And it has little leveler things on it. ;D

And I think the feet are pretty gripping.

So yea, that's an exciting buy! Camera gear! I tried it out today to photograph my church outfit. I love it! Now I don't have to have my little sister come take the pictures for me. ;)

It was a really fun time. I always love spending money, especially if the things are cheap!

Me and my sister went to a friend's house today, and just hung out there for quite a while. Just talking. It was pretty fun! I love having people to hang out with. :)

I'm excited for summer, with all the hanging out and fun things to come!! Yesterday was pretty cold, but today was nice.

There was a pretty clear sunset last yesterday though. :)

And I pruned our bushes the other day. I just went outside and saw the bush, and decided I wanted to prune. It must be my artistic nature, but I've done it before and it's actually kinda fun. ;D The first, nearest bush turned out nice. The farther one was harder because it was much taller... and just more difficult. ;P My little sister went and finished it for me- clipped the far-back branches that were sticking up. ;P Some of the others might've slightly helped me too. A little bit.

Anyhow, hope you enjoyed this post! Compared with how I usually am, I've kinda been neglecting this blog. Maybe it's good I'm laying back a bit. ;)

BEEN GARAGE SALING YET THIS YEAR? EVER PRUNED BUSHES? *winks*

Mint and Red Spring Outfit \\ My Eiffel Tower Mug

I haven't posted since six days ago. *gasp* Almost a week... that's a serious record-breaker for lately. ;P

I have an outfit to share, which I wore to church this past Sunday. :) One of those rare days when you can put together a pretty cute outfit without digging through your drawers and closet for hours. ;P But when that happens I probably don't end up with anything amazing anyhow...

  Anyway. Here it is.

A white shirt tucked into a slightly past knee-length "flow-y" brown skirt. My amazing new mint green scarf, and red heels. <3 Oh, and my cute brown hat in the pics below. I should wear it more often.

I called it a mint and red outfit, but it probably would've been more accurate with brown in the name too. ;)

(don't like how my scarf is laying in this. Ugh, oh well ;P)

My new picture ^^  ;)

So, guess what I found at a K-Mart closing sale the other day?

This lovely Eiffel Tower mug! It was two dollars, and I just had to get it because... Eiffel Towers. ;P It's sort of vintage looking too. But since only the cupcake is in focus, you may not be able to see it clearly.

Doesn't it go well with the cupcake though? :)

So March is seriously flying by...? O.O HOW? Every month has seemed to go by so fast.

But maybe that's good for now, because me and my sisters are going to the southern coast next month! We're meeting family there, and it's going to be so much fun! :D

Anyhow, I hope you enjoyed this post!
