Dusk after Rain \\ PHOTOS

Hey guys! What have you been up to this past week? I've been babysitting\helping babysit for some friends of ours. And it's been SO. SO. HOT. I need a pool. I haven't had my first swim of the year yet. *winks*

Saturday evening my siblings and I went on walk on our road. After going one way, and walking around in the little local graveyard, we went the other way, where the creek is. First I went and got my camera. So that means pictures!

It's Cold \\ Stars

Heeyy, guys, it's time for my Saturday post. Which is probably going to be really boring, 'cause.... just 'cause. xP

How's life been? It's cold. Like, we had our last day of co-op yesterday (today when I'm writing this post), and  it was raining and really cold when we left. The day before that me and four of my siblings went to our friend's church for their harvest festival thing. That was pretty fun. :) It was so very fall-ish. It was also cold that day, but it was a cold I kinda liked. *winks* My brother didn't bring a jacket or sweatshirt, poor boy. ;P I had a sweater type shirt on, so I was better off. So yea, I did the cake walk (for the first time), but didn't win anything. I also got food and sugar. *winks*

Oh, and when we left, it was dark. And we went to Chick-fil-A. I got an ice cream cone. Eating ice cream on a cold night. ;)

Photo Gallery: Last Days of Summer, Stars, Bubbles, and Spiders

  Yes, that's a big title. But I needed to sum this post of random recent pictures of somehow. :) I think these pictures are organized according to the day\night I took them. 

   How has fall been coming in for you guys? It's been pure summer here still. :P Today I went and played with my two youngest siblings on the trampoline... and brought a squirt bottle of water out to keep us cool. It was SO hot. BUT... tomorrow it's supposed to cool down, finally! :D

  Well, you can look at all my pictures now. Probably basically all the photography I've done since getting home. (not every picture, but, you know. ;) )

 FLYING! 8D In other words, jumping on the trampoline, and I just crop it so you can't see that. :P It'd look much better without those telephone wires, but OH WELL. 

Sometimes I really like black and white. :)

  Spicy... have you ever had a cat still living at eight\nine years? She's such a good "kitty". ;)

   I've wanted to try taking star photography for awhile. (I had tried it before, and it didn't work, but I know more stuff now. ;D) So at last one night I went out in the dark with a tripod, and started trying to get good star pictures with a high shutter speed. 

    And I got a few fairly good ones. :D Yay! You have to sit very still while waiting for the camera to finish it's picture. Probably why the clouds streaked like that in the pic above- don't know if they were actually like that. ;)

     

   Isn't it just great when you make a new photography accomplishment?! =D

Here's a pretty sunset...

  ... and a scary big spider! It had a big web on our porch. I probably got a little closer photographing it than I'd usually get to a big spider. :P (I cropped this picture, so it looks closer than in the original pic)

  One of the cool old toy tractors my little siblings brought out of the woods. :)

I sharpened this picture on picmonkey- the bokeh is extra lovely! :)

   The other day my little sister wanted to take pictures with an old camera... the one I started my photography love with. :) It's charger had been lost for a long time, but then they found it... and the camera still works! I think it got left outside once! The thing is a little survivor! :D 

Here's our dog Daisy. She's around the same age as our cat- they're both survivors. :) 

  So these last ten picture on this post are from the day my and my little sister went out to take pictures. :)

We went into the corn field, too. It's now harvested...

 And I found this treasure! :) Nice spider webs like this are a good photography opportunity, if you ask me.

  I hope you enjoyed those pictures! :) I hope to do a September Highlights post, and show you all the stuff I've bought this month. :P And other things. Me and my siblings have been doing our home school co-op, where we have three classes at some church every Friday. I have an essay class (fun, right? ;) ), a trivia class, and an art class. The art one is more advanced (for me, anyhow) so I can get better at drawing and all! :D

  I also want to finish getting all the posts about my summer vacations done sometime. Hopefully before mid-October!

                 HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!

 Today we're celebrating the birth of America, which happened so long ago when our countrymen wrote the Declaration of Independence. We are so blessed to live so freely as we do in America! 

Let's remember to pray for our country, and for our leaders!

  So we kind of celebrated on Saturday. My dad decided we were going out on the boat, so we headed out to these big lakes that we like to go to.

  We stopped at Dollar General on the way, and learned that there were going to be fireworks at the lake (my dad had thought there might be). We bought a bunch of snacks and continued onward. :)

 It was overcast and that lake was kind of choppy. Our boat hit another boats waves which made it rock pretty bad- I may have freaked out a little. :P 

 So we found a beach and beached the boat. ;D That's where the next... twenty pictures are at. Um, I took a lot of pictures- on that whole trip I took over 500. =) 

  It sprinkle-rained a little, but not the whole time- I was able to take lots of pictures still- er, obviously. :D

  My dad beached the boat in another spot on that same beach, so I got to take some boat action pictures. :)

      There were some pretty "big" waves. For a lake. (it is  a huge lake though.)

 I took home some souvenirs. Aren't these pretty? So white. I think they're chalk or something.

 Nice dark rocks to photograph. :) Me and a couple of my siblings went walking for a while down the beach, but I didn't take my camera. (I went back to these rocks with my mom later.)

  But while exploring, I found myself a nice little walking stick. It's white-ish and sturdy. ;) I like the beach wood... or maybe it's driftwood. I took a little piece home that was so smooth! Yea, I kind of have too much junk stuff, and this is probably why. I keep stuff like that. :P

  We eventually headed out and went to where the fireworks were going to be.

  The boat crowd. :) It was pretty cool, seeing all the boats around with their lights on, waiting for the show.

    Then the fireworks began. It was a really good show! :) And I got some good pictures! First firework pictures I've taken, I believe. :)

  So yes, it was a very neat experience watching the firework show from the boat- seeing them reflected off the water! :) And also being out on the boat in the dark and all. We had to wait a little while to get to the dock. 

 Anyhow, I had a very fun day Saturday! :D
